Summer FAQs

• Flexible Camp Fees are available for qualifying families. Please click here for more information.

• You will find the application form as part of the registration process. It is a two-step process.
• Please fill out the form at registration only if you are applying for flexible camp fees. 
• Follow the email instructions that will be sent to your inbox to complete your application. 
• You are able to fully register for camps while waiting to hear about your flexible camp fee application without charge. 

• You are able to pay in full at registration or you can set up a payment plan for yourself. 
• A credit card must be on file. 
• Your camps must be paid for by the end of the season. If we haven't received payment, we will notify you before charging your credit card on file. 
• We do not charge late fees. 

You are fully able to register for your camps without being charged when applying for flexible camp fees. Move forward and claim your spots. If you choose not to participate in camp there are no charges.

We appreciate you paying for your camp at least a week before camp begins, if possible. Your camps must be paid for by the end of the season. If we haven't received payment, we will notify you before charging your credit card on file.

The weekly fee for camps that do not have any field trips is $580. Camps that include field trips start at $635 weekly.

*Note: The Second Week of Camp is a four day week weekly rates will reflect that.

Here at OES, we understand plans change with this in mind. We ask that you choose camps carefully to help with registration numbers and openings for members of our community.

Requests for withdrawal from camp must be made more than ten days prior to the camp start date to receive a full or partial refund minus the $15 non-refundable bank fees.

Any registration canceled with less than ten days' notice will forfeit the full cost of the camp session.

More than 30 days in advance: camp registration will be refunded minus the $15 non-refundable bank fees. Within 11-30 days in advance: 50% of camp registration will be refunded minus the $15 non-refundable bank fees.

Please allow for 10-15 business days for refunds upon cancellation for processing.

Summer at OES may cancel programs and reach out to families as soon as possible with cancellation information and alternate availability if they are available. Summer at OES will offer alternative options if available and if not will offer full refunds for the program canceled, minus the $15 transaction fees. Refunds can take up to 10-15 business days.

• Camp reservations close the Thursday before the week of camp. If you desire a spot at the last minute, please call us by Friday at 12 PM to see if we have space available. 
• Please do not show up at camp without a reservation as we cannot guarantee an available spot for your child.

Registration opens February 28, 2025 at 9 a.m.

You can inquire with the Summer Administration team about changing a camp by phone or text at 503-416-9503, via email, or in person. Please allow 24 hours for response.

• For 2025 there will be two drop off locations. For Tennis, Rock Climbing and any other specified camps drop off can happen at either Main Campus or SPARC Campus. Both locations require check in procedures to take place with administration.
• Drop Off is 7:45-8:45 a.m. is walk-up only in front of Farris Hall or SPARC. Please do not do a drive and drop at the curb as we do not have traffic control during the summer. 
• Drop Off after 8:45 a.m. is inside Farris Hall Lobby at the main desk for all camp classes. 
• Pick Up: Check-in for pick up is inside Farris Hall Lobby for all camp classes. ID is required every single time for every single adult. 
• We will radio for your camper to be brought up and you will confirm at the final check-out table with another staff member before leaving. Please do not walk beyond Farris Hall onto campus. 

• All campers must be checked out by an adult. 
• Every adult doing pickup must be on file in the Ultracamp account. 
• Every adult doing pickup must have a photo I.D. every single time they do a pickup. 

Late drop off and pick up are both in Farris Hall Lobby.

No. Camp “themes” run until 2:30 p.m. every day, with enrichment activities from 2:30 –4 p.m. and included extended activities from 4–6 p.m. Depending on the grade of your camper, activities will vary. More information will be available soon regarding afternoon enrichments, workshops, and camper choice activities. 

This is dependent on the camp and will be listed in the description. 

• Lunch is provided daily in the dining hall.
• Balanced and allergy-friendly snacks will be provided. 
• Please remember to have your camper bring a labeled water bottle every day to camp. 

Personal belongings, electronics, toys, trading cards, gum/candy, and anything with nuts should not be brought to camp. 

• A labeled water bottle. 
• We like to offer water play when it is warm, and sometimes it can be spontaneous! Please pack a change of clothes, water friendly shoes, towel, and water play friendly clothes if your child would like to participate. We'll try our best to notify in advance. 
• A bag to carry their belongings in. 
• Extra snacks if they have strong preferences. Please no nuts. 

Specified field trips will be held for some specialty camps as part of their curriculum. This information will be in the description and/or communicated before the week of camp class. 

Your student camper must turn 4 by May 2025 before attending camp and be fully toilet trained. This class is intended for current pre-k students, not rising kindergarteners. 

• Please drop off your Pre-K camper at the Pre-K playground gate between 7:45 AM-8:35 a.m. 
• Pickup is in Farris Hall Lobby.
