Student and Family Support

"I've really connected with our counselor. When I walk into her office, I know I'm safe, and that I can really confide in her. I think our support system at OES is very well integrated into our community." Freshman

Middle and Upper School advisory groups meet regularly and provide a home base for students. Groups include eight to nine students plus a faculty member as an advisor. The advisor also provides a communication link between the school and home.

Counseling and Academic Support

Each division at OES has their own Counseling and Academic Support team. Leveraging strengths and affinities, while helping students develop a strong, balanced sense of self, they emphasize a holistic approach to health and well being and academic engagement.

Chaplains in each division provide an additional level of support and care to all members of the OES family. With an emphasis on the nurturing of relationships and community, the Chaplains offer an intentional and pastoral presence in both joyful and challenging school and family moments. In the spirit of our Episcopal tradition, chaplains lead weekly chapels that encourage and honor student and faculty voices.

School Nurse and Athletic Trainer

OES employs a state registered athletic trainer who assists the OES teams in staying safe and healthy while enjoying competitive sports. In addition, OES has a full time nurse on staff during the academic day.

Dining and Nutrition

The dining hall is a gathering place for our community. Bon Appetit our food management company prepares tasty, nutritious food for all that’s inspired by their commitment to a sustainable future.
