Privacy Policy

Oregon Episcopal School (“OES”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how OES may collect, use, and disclose information when you access or use the OES website (as well as other third party social media sites of OES) and services made available through the same (collectively “Services”).

  1. Information OES Collects.
    1. Personal Identifiable Information. OES collects personal identifiable information (“Personal Identifiable Information” or “PII”) you voluntarily provide when you register, access, or use the Services. PII includes your:
      • Name;
      • Phone number;
      • Email address;
      • Credit card information; and/or
      • Other PII you voluntarily share.
    2. Non-personal Identifiable Information. OES uses industry standard technologies to collect non-personal identifiable information, and this may include sending cookies to your computer or mobile device. Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive or in device memory that helps improve your experience. OES may also collect information using web beacons (also known as “tracking pixels”). Web beacons are electronic images that may be used in connection with the Services or emails and help deliver cookies, count visits, understand usage and campaign effectiveness and determine whether an email has been opened and acted upon. OES may also collect unique device identifiers, and mobile network information, and use and collection of any such non-personal identifiable information by OES, including in aggregate, is not prohibited by this Privacy Policy.
    3. Minors. Services are not directed at children and OES does not knowingly collect PII directly from children. Consistent with the Federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1988 (“COPPA”), OES will not knowingly request or collect PII from any child under the age of thirteen (13) in the United States or sixteen (16) as required by General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) for children in the European Union without requiring parental consent. Children can access and browse the Services without disclosing any PII. OES will apply material changes to this Privacy Policy to conform with applicable law, including any applicable provisions of COPPA and/or GDPR that require parental consent.   2. Use of Information.
    Your use of all features requiring the provision of information about you is entirely voluntary and OES will never require you to use any of the features in order to merely browse the publicly accessible portions of the Services. OES may use the PII you share:
    • To provide Services to you directly and/or in connection with third parties;
    • To enhance existing Services or develop new Services;
    • To protect the interests of OES, another end user, and/or to enforce one or more provisions of the Terms of Service and/or Privacy Policy; and
    • To communicate with you, including through newsletters and email notifications, confirmations, technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages that you may request.
    PLEASE NOTE: OES may disclose PII: (i) upon lawful request, in response to legal process, and when required to comply with laws; (ii) to enforce our agreements, corporate policies, Terms of Service/Privacy Policy; or (iii) to protect the rights, property or safety, of OES or other users of OES’ Services.
  3. Information Security.
    OES takes reasonable steps to maintain appropriate physical, technical, and administrative security to help prevent loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, or modification of your PII. While OES takes reasonable efforts to safeguard PII, no system or transmission of data over the Internet or any other public network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
  4. Third Party Websites.
    Services may contain links to third party websites. OES does not review the privacy practices of these other websites and recommends that you review their privacy policies before sharing your PII. OES does not have any control over such third party websites and are not responsible for their privacy policies or practices.
  5. Opting Out.
    Please contact OES at if you no longer wish to receive communications regarding Services. Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove or reject browser cookies. If you choose to reject all cookies, you may be unable to use certain areas of the Services.

    Some browsers have incorporated “Do Not Track” features. Most of these features, when turned on, send a signal or preference to the website or online service that a user visits, indicating that the user does not wish to be tracked. California law requires that an operator of a website or other online service disclose how the operator responds to a Do Not Track signal and whether third parties may collect personal information about an individual’s online activities from the operator’s website or online service. OES is committed to providing you with meaningful choices about the information collected through the Services, however please be aware that the Internet industry is currently still working on Do Not Track standards.
  6. International Access and Use of Services.
    Services are designed for and targeted to U.S. audiences and are governed by and operated in accordance with the laws of the U.S., including California Civil Code Section 1798.83. OES makes no representation that the Services are operated in accordance with the laws or regulations of, or governed by, other nations. If you accessing and using Services from outside of the U.S., including the EEA and Switzerland, you use Services at your own risk and initiative and you are responsible for your compliance with any applicable local and national laws. Please be aware that any personal information and other information you provide to OES obtain as a result of your use of the Services shall be collected in the U.S. and/or transferred to the U.S. and subject to U.S. law. By providing your PII to OES, you consent to the transfer of such to the United States and the use of your PII in accordance with this Privacy Policy.     OES may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When OES does so, OES will post the new Privacy Policy about the Services to its website homepage, and your continued use of the Services is deemed to be acceptance of such updates or changes. OES encourages you to check the date of our Privacy Policy when you access and use Services for any updates or changes.
