Oregon Episcopal School - ALWAYS OPEN

Mount Hood Climb Service Day: Kicking Off a Month of Service in the Middle School

Next Wednesday, May 12, we will honor and remember the lives of OES students and faculty impacted 35 year ago by the Mount Hood Climb. The day will begin with a virtual ceremony at the OES Belltower starting at 8:45 a.m. Following that ceremony, we will once again honor these lives through participating in service to our community.

Although this year service to our community will look a bit different than in the past, the opportunity to love our neighbors remains. Thus, instead of a full day of in-person service to agencies, next Wednesday will kick off a month of safe and meaningful service in the Middle School.

Please see below for information on each opportunity—all of which start on May 12.

1. On Wednesday, May 12, we participate in a Sack Lunch Drive for Blanchet House with One Hundred Sack Lunches. For more information on this and to sign up to help provide one hundred sack lunches, click here.

2. Starting May 12, we are hosting a Ten-Day Smiles and Sanitizer Drive for The William Temple House. ALL are invited to donate new (still packaged) toothbrushes and small unopened hand sanitizer. There will be a drop off bin located in the Middle School.

3. Also, as of May 1, in partnership with the Upper and Lower School, we have started a Thirty-Day Food Drive for Neighborhood House. Families are encouraged each time they grocery shop to purchase one extra non-perishable item, which students will drop off in their advisory classrooms.
