A Conversation with Supanut “Nut” Cheepsongsuk ’15

Where are you living now?

I'm currently living in Bangkok, Thailand! I didn't imagine being back home but here I am.

What does your role at the banking company UOB entail?

I'm working under our unsecured lending team, mainly in charge of growing revolving balance under credit card usage.

Was this the career path you expected to take?

I definitely did not. I wanted to be an ambassador back in the day, but I decided that the lifestyle I would have wasn't for me. I like exploring new things and places, but uprooting my life every four or five years is too emotionally taxing.

Looking back at your OES experience, what was your favorite class?

My favorite class at OES will always be photography with Cameron Jack. I took that class twice and where would I find the chance to work in the darkroom and develop my film again?

Do you still keep in touch with classmates from OES?

Yes! We still text now and then. Besides my Thai peeps, I would be thrilled if any friends would hit me up when they visit Bangkok. From our class this year, Marcus Yen, Sophie Chen, and Tracy Guo have visited us in Bangkok!

Are you excited for the reunion this year for the class of 2015?

I’m very excited that we will have a chance to see all of us again. To see how far we have grown and changed would be an amazing feeling. I’m already so proud of all of us and how far we have come.
