The entire OES community celebrated the end of 2022 with an amazing Winter Festival celebration on December 16.
Many musical performances made it a fun-filled event. The Low Brass band greeted students on their way in and the Upper School Jazz Club provided accompaniment as people found their way to their seats. In total, we heard from the LS Choir, LS Strings, LS Rock Band, MS/US Ensemble, US Symphonic Band, US Strings Ensemble, and the All Employee Band. Head of School Mo Copeland performed a surprise musical solo on the recorder during “The Final Countdown.”
Topping off the event was the annual enthusiastic rendition of “The 12 Days of Christmas,” sung by students representing their grade levels—a holiday favorite.
