Congratulations to Lauren T. ‘25, who was selected as a winner of the National Merit $2500 Scholarship. Lauren was given the honor based on her PSAT scores and accomplishments during high school. Lauren is one of just 6,870 students from across the country to be awarded the prestigious scholarship and plans to attend Carleton College in Minnesota in the fall.
“Winning this scholarship feels like an acknowledgement of my commitment to academics over the last four years,” Lauren said. “I have focused on being an engaged and curious student at OES, attributes that pushed me to take intellectual risks and dive deeply into each of my classes. I am so grateful for the support and love from my parents through my high school journey—they encourage me to do my best, enjoy the learning process, and try new things. Thank you to every one of my teachers and classmates for challenging me in new ways and for making learning relevant and fun.”
