Showing Appreciation for Our Teachers

Teachers from all three divisions at OES received a gift box this week for Teacher Appreciation Week. The gifts were sourced from Oregon women-owned businesses and included delicious treats, a bottle of wine or sparkling cider, and relaxation items like bath salts, a scented candle, and an engraved bookmark.

“The baskets are designed to celebrate the special relationship that exists between our children and their teachers,” All-School Parent Partnership Chair Carol Bull said.

Head of School Mo Copeland said, “I so appreciate the parents' association recognizing our wonderful teachers and staff—we are extraordinarily lucky to have folks who give so much to our school and our families day in and day out. I appreciate all you do to keep this place humming.”

This year’s Teacher Appreciation Day Committee was co-chaired by Katie Fitzpatrick, Lower School & Middle School parent, and Melissa Harder, Lower School parent.

Additional thanks to committee members Lower School parent Miki MacArthur, Lower School parent Lexie Riley and Capers Catering for curating the gift boxes, and Upper School parent Lubna Qureshi for coordinating signage.
