Math Team Wins Big at MathCounts Chapter Competition

Congratulations to the Math team on their great achievements at the MathCounts Chapter Competition on Saturday, February 3.

OES won first place for team (Kevin C. ’29, Eric Z. ’28, Maxwell G. ’29, and Michael G. ’28), and first and second place for individuals (Kevin C. ’29 and. Eric Z. ’28), as well as first place for the Countdown round by Kevin C. ’29. The Math Club team is led by Middle School Math Teacher Ann von Ofenheim.

The other team members who participated were: Jessie Z. ’30, Winston W. ’28, Krish P. ’29, Shaarav M. ’30, Kinza A. ’29, Tulasi K. ’29, Jia B. ’28, and Surabhi S. ’28.

The Math team now goes to the MathCounts State Competition on Saturday, March 9. Wish them luck!
