Debate Team Wins Awards at State

The OES debate team continued their strong performance with several wins at the 2025 state tournament. Debate coach Dylan Amo shared these results:
- Connor R. ’27 and Athena L. ’27 took first in the state for Policy debate.
- Ronav S. ’27 took 8th overall in Student Congress in a very crowded field of nearly 50 of the top competitors in the state.
- Riley S. ’26 and Hayden N. ’26 just missed continuing to the elimination rounds, going 2-2.
- Hailey C. ’28 and Reid N. ’28 had some incredibly tough rounds against third and fourth year competitors and will take that valuable experience and come back even stronger.
- Overall, the OES team took third in the state (4A, 3A, 2A OSAA classification).
