OES Community Education

Part of our mission is to promote lifelong learning and to inspire intellectual, physical, social, emotional, artistic, and spiritual growth in all members of our community. To that end, OES seeks to provide rich educational opportunities for adult learning. We frequently do so in collaboration with Parent Partnership—a collection of grade-level and all-school representatives who promote connections between families and the school.

For 2022-23, we are excited to announce a new “OES Community Education” program, which has three key components. We invite you to explore these programs and to join us as we learn together!

Challenge Success Workshops

A non-profit affiliated with the Stanford University Graduate School of Education, Challenge Success provides programming to promote student well-being and engagement with learning.

Common Ground Speakers Series

A parent education consortium originally founded on the San Francisco Peninsula, Common ground presents a slate of cutting-edge speakers, topics and special events annually—both in person and online. When Zoom presentations are available, OES will offer access to the online lectures free of charge to members of the community who sign up in advance.

Communications will go out when we are ready to announce the first set of speakers - stay tuned!

Parent/Guardian Affinity Groups

Through our Office of Equity and Inclusion, OES runs a variety of parent/guardian affinity groups. Such groups include:

  • Tapestry: Parents/Guardians of Learners of Color
  • Neurodiverse Community Affinity Group (NCAG)
  • LGBTQ+ Families Affinity Group

For more information on attending future gatherings with any of these groups, or if you are seeking support from the school to start a parents/guardians affinity group of your own, click below.
