Scooters, feathers, ribbons, and hula hoops. What do all these things have in common?

Awesome Aardvarks!

Last Friday OES had an impressive showing at the Intel Northwest Science Expo! Highlights included:

*Jane C. '20 capturing an "Outstanding Research in Psychology" award from the American Psychological Association;

*Ethan D. '20 receiving an award for "Excellence in Scientific Research in Environmental Health" from the Oregon Environmental Health Association; and

*Simon H. '19 taking home an "Outstanding Project Award" from the United States Air Force, "Outstanding Project by an 11th Grade Student" from Yale University's Science and Engineering Association, and a "Naval Excellence in Science and Engineering Award" from the Office of Naval Research.

Well done to all of the participants!

From Facebook:

Wednesday morning the Dining Hall was awash in admiration for the annual Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast!

We want to thank each and every one of you who donate your time, energy, and resources to OES. We couldn't make this place magical without you!

Seen on Instagram:

 Poet, professor, and activist @ginastarlight opened today's Upper School Culture Shock conference with wise words and performance pieces.

Look for full Culture Shock coverage in next week's issue.

ATHLETICS

 Spring is here, and at OES that means lacrosse from grades 12 all the way down to first!  Be sure to catch the on-field action for at least one of our stellar squads this season.

Just a few out of many notable notes: the Varsity Boys' team is undefeated, all of our Middle School girls' teams are working their hardest, and the Varsity Girls' team has two home games next week!
