Last Friday and Saturday, the OES Middle School hosted the annual Northwest Association of Independent Schools (NWAIS) Student Leadership and Diversity Retreat.

The Life of Frederick Douglass Captures Seventh Graders' Attention
OES continues to celebrate Black History Month. In a seventh grade English class, students are currently reading and discussing ​"Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass​," the abolitionist's memoir.

AWESOME AARDVARKS

OES is proud to announce that Aneesh G. '19 has been published in the peer-reviewed International Journal of Computer Engineering and Technology!

 

The title of Aneesh's paper is "Neuroplasticity of Artificial Neural Networks: An Investigation Using English and Devangari Character Recognition."

The girls' varsity basketball team deserves high praise for their play against Portland Adventist Academy this week in the second round of the Lewis & Clark League playoffs.


Although they fell by a final score of 48-43, their relentless effort until the final buzzer was evident. Congratulations on a great season!

In more hoops news, the boys' varsity team came from behind to beat Catlin Gabel 48-44 on Tuesday night.

 

This means they'll play De La Salle North at 6:30 p.m. TOMORROW evening at Scappoose High School—for the League championship! #govarks #oesbball
