The annual Spring Student Extravaganza is an extraordinary labor of love created by and for students as a showcase of performance-based work in multiple mediums including dance, theater, and video. The OES Performing Arts program believes in empowering students to envision and produce their own creative expression using the widest possible skill set, led by our graduating Performing Arts seniors. Join in the celebration of unique student voices in our community!

Celia is Dead!

Synopsis:  A murder mystery satire filled with plot twists, 1920’s glamour, and snarky humor. Five old friends harboring secrets have gathered on a dark and stormy night – thunder crashes, lightning flashes, and mysterious clues, bloody weapons, and accusations abound! 

Puffballs

Written and Directed by: Don-Pharinho C.
Synopsis:  A surreal psychological drama about 2 friends getting lost in the woods, as if “Man vs. Wild” meets “Breaking Bad”.  Josh is running away from school stress, secretly addicted to and illicitly selling a drug based on the puffball mushroom.  On an ill-fated dayhike, the mushroom spores succeed in colonizing Josh’s body/mind and his childhood best friend Max tries to save him.

The Show Must Go On

Synopsis:  An intrepid cast of actors and techies attempt to keep the show running smoothly against all odds.  A comedic play-within-a-play, expect to see science projects going awry backstage, as well as falling ladders, terrible accents and fumbled props onstage, because no matter what… The Show Must Go On!

Synopsis: In between the existence and absence of it all, lies what once was but no longer is. A short film capturing the slow collapse of normalcy around a girl and a forest that shadows her every step. 

Dance Club

The Spring Extravaganza promises to be an exciting variety show featuring Dance Club and a wide range of One-Acts, scenes and videos, all student-written and directed!

The show contains some adult themes and simulated drug use, violence and a gunshot. It is appropriate for Middle and Upper school students.
