Chateau Zoe

Oh wow what a wonderful find in the most unassuming place near the busiest Xinyi district. Tucked in the little lane by the City Hall, Chateau Zoe is definitely one of the very best places I've ever been in the world. My most favorite surprising dish is the truffle risotto with the cocoa layer on the bottom-- crazy delicious with an unique twist of cocoa and slight bitter sweet hint on the perfect authentic Italian rice grains and the pretty black truffles (which is not as fragrant but still a nice touch). The little charred squids remind me of childhood living by the ocean (consumed without taking a photo). Really every dish is a hit! Nice wines but a little overpriced for Californian like myself. Great in French selections. Perfect banana desert as well! So glad I celebrate my goddaughter's birthday here. Thank you for the amazing desert plates with my own deserts. Perfect service. I like the salad, they use really fresh cheese and strawberries in the season. Brussels sprouts with smoked bacon and special sauce, so tasty.
