Employee Benefits
OES provides generous benefits that meet the needs of our faculty and staff during all stages of their lives. We value our employees and offer some of the most competitive salaries in the region, excellent working conditions, and abundant professional development opportunities. Eligibility for benefits depends on your status (faculty/staff, full-time/part-time, regular/temporary) and length of employment with the school. Benefits are effective the first day of the month following the date of employment. For teachers who begin work in August, this will be September 1.
Campus and Location
OES boasts a beautiful 59-acre campus that includes wetlands, nature trails, gardens and a ropes course. With a location just 90 minutes from the Cascade Mountains and the Oregon coast, the Portland area offers unique access to hiking, biking, skiing, paddling, rowing, and all sorts of outdoor adventures. And being close to downtown, you can easily explore the many places to eat and drink, and visit museums, parks, and much more.
Healthcare
Choose from a variety of options for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for regular employees who are scheduled to work 1,000 hours or more during a calendar year (or in the case of Faculty, employees who work 20 hours or more per week during the academic year). We offer three different medical plan options and premiums vary depending on the plan and coverage level (Employee only vs dependent coverage). OES covers 97% of the cost of coverage for an employee on the base in-network PPO plan.
403(b) Retirement Plan
OES offers a 403(b) retirement plan with a generous employer match through Corebridge Financial. Plan contributions, including employer contributions, are fully vested immediately. Employees contributing at least 2.5% receive a 4% match and those contributing at least 5% receive a 7.5% match.
Paid Time Off
OES offers paid sick leave and personal days for all regular employees, in addition to regularly recognized holidays. Year-round employees are also eligible to accrue paid vacation depending on their years of service at OES.

All regular employees working at least .75 FTE are entitled to a 50 percent tuition remission for up to two admissions-eligible children attending OES.
