What Are You OPEN To?
Come find out. At OES, we are learners as much as knowers. We are collaborative, flexible, and adaptable, eager to try new approaches and not afraid to fail. We are relational ㄧ recognizing and respecting the diversity of our community. We are deliberate ㄧ understanding that a deep knowledge of one’s craft is critical to helping students find and follow their passions. No matter what the role, we seek innovators, pioneers, and deeply empathetic people to help make Oregon Episcopal School an even more dynamic place to work.
OES values employees who seek to continually develop the OES Essential Competencies in themselves and others and are prepared to engage fully in a vibrant, culturally diverse learning community. The School’s regular workforce numbers approximately 250; half is faculty and the other half are staff and administrators. Another 100+ seasonal coaches, after-school, and summer program teachers, outdoor guides, and on-call guest teachers round out a lively and committed employee body. Performance expectations are high and employees take pride in their work. Teachers are guided by the Learning and Teaching at OES faculty growth model. With competitive pay, a generous benefits package, excellent working conditions, and abundant professional development opportunities, OES enjoys low employee turnover.
OES strives to cultivate and maintain a supportive, inclusive community for all employees. Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they meet every one of the qualifications as described in the job description. We are most interested in finding the best candidate for the job, and that candidate may be the one who comes from a less traditional background. We would encourage you to apply, even if you don’t believe you meet every one of the qualifications described. If you are unsure whether you meet the qualifications of this position, or how this would be determined, please feel free to contact Human Resources to discuss your application.
