Athletics
Every teammate matters. Every player has a role.
Our Philosophy:
Participating in team and individual sports helps our students develop self-confidence, good sportsmanship, discipline, and respect for themselves and others. The OES athletics program promotes the health and safety of the participants and provides opportunities for growth through individual and team participation. OES emphasizes positive group involvement and respect for reasonable authority, fellow team members, and opponents.

Athletic Facilities
We believe in the power of athletics to transform lives, foster community, and enhance the educational experience. Our students, families, and community members deserve best-in-class athletics facilities.
- Athletic Center: Built in 2020, the OES Athletic Center gives our students and programs room to grow, provides a homecourt advantage, inspires future generations of athletes, and builds leaders from the ground up.
- Turf: Updated in 2025, the new turf is safer with grass-like traction, reducing torque on knees and ankles. It's sustainable, made from materials that will protect our wetlands and watershed, and the upgraded turf keeps temperatures down, improving athlete performance and comfort.
- Track: Updated in 2025, the gel surface allows athletes to run faster. It provides the cushion to support strong joint health as well as the ping to set new PRs and school records. Made with 84% renewable and recycled materials, the new gel track is faster, more consistent, and better for athlete welfare.
- SPARC: The Sports and Recreation Center (SPARC) features three indoor tennis courts, four lighted outdoor tennis courts, a wood basketball/volleyball court, two racquetball courts, and a fencing facility.
These best-in-class facilities reflect our commitment to athletics, sustainability, functionality, and providing the best possible experience for our student-athletes and community.
