Commencement

June 13th, 8 AM
Students will collect their cap & gown and take a class photo. Afterward, students will board OES school buses to attend rehearsal at Trinity. The school provides transportation to/from the cathedral. Students will return to campus at approximately 12:00 PM.

Note to boarding families: Dorms close at 5 pm on June 13th

On Wednesday, December 11th seniors received a packet of information from Jostens, suppliers of our graduation regalia. The packet presents a wide variety of merchandise and “packages” to order. Except for the “Basic Package”, all other merchandise is optional. There is no charge for the basic package.

**All seniors are required to order a cap and gown online at Jostens.com by December 18.**

Graduation announcements can be ordered online at Jostens.com. Announcements are delivered in the spring.

Students are welcome to invite up to 8 guests, including parents. More graduation details, including how to request additional guests, will be shared in the coming months.

Seniors will have the opportunity to decorate their caps using materials provided by the school and anything else they’d like to include (college name/mascot/colors, other words, sequins, etc).

Yearbook Senior Portraits & Senior Baby Photos - Due December 13
Senior Photos: If you’ve had Senior Portraits taken, please submit a high-resolution photo (at least 1MB or 1000px) in traditional portrait format (head and shoulders). Photos should not include watermarks. Title the file with your child’s name (First_Last) and upload it here: Senior Portraits 2025. If no portrait is provided, we will use the school photo taken by Holland Studios. If you need an extension, please contact Clare Odom.

Baby Photos: Please upload 1-3 baby/toddler photos (ages 3 months to 2 years) titled with your child’s name (First_Last, First_Last-2, etc.). We will choose one for the yearbook. Upload here: Senior Babies/Toddlers.

Yearbook Ads - Due March 7
You can purchase a 1/4, 1/2, or full-page ad to congratulate your senior or group (sports, theater, friends). This is optional. Ad Builder Guide.

Starting this year, the school will no longer sponsor an all-night senior party following graduation. This decision was made after several years of deliberation regarding the feasibility of the event, the impact on staff and volunteers, liability and safety concerns, and our commitment to responsibly stewarding school resources. Furthermore, as we have developed and enhanced other end-of-year traditions, including the alumni induction, senior raft trip, senior celebration dinner, and commencement itself, we believe these achieve the same goals as the grad party. To ensure that students continue to enjoy the most special elements of this tradition, we will incorporate them into other planned celebrations. We are deeply grateful to the parents who have supported this tradition over the years - especially those who chaired the committee and planned the event; their dedication helped create meaningful memories for graduates and they did a wonderful job managing the budget, recruiting volunteers, and executing the event. Looking ahead, we invite anyone interested in contributing ideas to the Senior Celebration Committee, which will help plan the end-of-year events this year, to reach out to junior parents Sara Berglund and Deanna Freres.
