Libraries
Oregon Episcopal School’s libraries ignite curiosity and support learners in developmentally appropriate exploration and academic inquiry. Guided by three full-time librarians, each division holds a collection crafted with intention: honoring personal passions, intellectual endeavors, and the dignity of all who enter—students, families, and faculty alike. In addition to the collection, community members may access local and global journals and academic databases for learning.
Through curated materials, OES libraries provide a place of discovery grounded in research and wonder. The work of our librarians supports and cultivates inquiry, curiosity, information literacy, critical thinking, and ethical decision-making.
Inquiry and Academic Excellence in our Libraries
Our librarians aim to support students in their storytelling, their exploration of self and others, literacy development, and research and analysis skill-building, including assessing sources for misinformation and bias. Students may access each library on their own or through the collaboration between faculty members and library services.
- Our librarians support student agency and independence, fostering environments where inquiry becomes action.
- Collections invite exploration across disciplines—reinforcing OES’s commitment to excellence through active, student-driven learning that promotes intellectual freedom.
- The libraries serve as living laboratories of inquiry, where curiosity leads to discovery and learning transforms into purpose.
