Dear OES Community,
As the school year comes to a close, we want to thank everyone who participated in our first wave of input to help guide the direction of the OES Strategic Plan 2025-30. Over the course of the last several weeks, we have conducted over 40 one-on-one interviews with students, employees, and parents. We’ve held multiple Think Tanks for families, alumni, faculty/staff, administration and former and current trustees. Throughout these sessions, we have had excellent engagement and been inspired by your thoughts on the changing role of an OES classroom, the future of the economy and globalization, the central importance of the OES community, and the enduring value of inquiry in a rapidly changing world.

Dear OES Families,
We are getting excited to meet with many people from our OES community at next week's Think Tank events. Please let us know if you'd like to play a role in this strategic thinking work. We are still hoping more people will engage in this special opportunity. Please RSVP now to invest 90 minutes of your time next week to help shape the future of OES.
As hopefully all of you have heard, this year, OES is undergoing a long-range strategic planning process. As we envision the next chapter of the school’s future, we have formed a diverse strategic planning committee, composed of many different perspectives, and are eagerly seeking a wide range of community input during the process.
One of the ways to participate in this process is to join us for a 90-minute “Think Tank” to help us generate a shared vision for the future of OES.
Dear OES Community,
We wanted to take a moment to update you on the progress being made with our Strategic Plan, introduce you to the newly added members of our committee, and share how you’ll be able to participate with your input as the first phase of listening sessions begin.
We’re excited to expand our committee with five new members to ensure we get stronger representation across our OES community and representation for faculty and staff. Our new members are Sarah Grenert-Funk, Kristen Haferbecker, Krystal Ngene, Nina Parikh, and Rachel van Wickle. Information about our new and existing committee members, along with our overall process, can be found here.
Dear OES Community,
Our school is guided by its mission and our five year strategic plan is designed to set forth the key areas that will enable OES to realize this incredible mission. As Paul Ehrlich, President of the Board of Trustees, mentioned in his letter last week, we want to introduce our approach to the creation of OES’s next strategic plan which will run from 2025-30. While we’re in the early stages of creating the process and approach, we would like to direct your attention to our page on the OES website where we’ll house all our updates, important information, and how the OES community can participate in this process.
