Oregon Episcopal School - ALWAYS OPEN

OES Chapel

Chapel and Gathering Events Shape our Community

In every division, the school spends intentional time in Chapel and Gathering each week. Chapel is a space where we pause to take a breadth in the midst of a busy day. Students cultivate community, develop character, and engage with people, perspectives, and traditions that honor the enduring wisdom of humanity, our commitment to justice and service, and the ways we can do our part to make the world a little bit better. Gathering is a bit more informal including student announcements, community celebrations, and joyful song.

Our Chaplains are Here for You

Chaplains journey with students and families together through loss, change, celebrations and life experiences. We are available to provide pastoral support, time to connect, and opportunity to wrestle with questions together, acknowledging the love that we share and that we are.

The OES Chapel

Beautiful stained glass windows, art from the original chapel of the school, simple architecture that creates the space to hold community: the OES Chapel is the central gathering space for the Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools and also host to the Episcopal Parish of St. John the Baptist. Together OES and the parish are co-curators of this sacred space and often collaborate on artistic performances and opportunities for community engagement.
