Leadership Volunteer Opportunities

MIDDLE SCHOOL PAL GRADE REPRESENTATIVES
PAL Representatives are grade level (6th, 7th & 8th) liaisons who work with the MS Head and the various MS committee chairs to set the agendas and run the monthly PAL meetings on a rotating basis. They also attend the monthly Volunteer Common Link meetings and report back to PAL attendees. The grade reps serve as immediate contacts and facilitate clear and open communication between parents and administration. Grade reps also coordinate grade specific volunteers including drivers for service learning projects.

MIDDLE SCHOOL PAL SECRETARY
The secretary takes minutes and records attendance during monthly PAL meetings and occasionally signs checks as the second signer for the MS PAL Treasurer. The minutes are sent to the MS Administrative Assistant and the PAL Reps via e-mail attachments.

MIDDLE SCHOOL PAL TREASURER
The treasurer maintains all the financial records for MS PAL including writing checks, making deposits and reconciling monthly bank statements. The treasurer also prepares and presents the budget and actual financial statements. Some computer skills (i.e. Excel) are helpful. Treasurer periodically reports to and has meetings with the OES CFO concerning the budget.

MIDDLE SCHOOL VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

Late spring orientation meeting is necessary for incoming Volunteer Coordinator. Two year commitment is ideal.
