The of goal of technology use at OES is to improve
learning for students. Our integration approach is curriculum-driven,
and determined primarily by the critical trials and decisions
of faculty and departments. Overall, we see this evolutionary
process as involving far more than hardware, software and network
equipment.
Each year, faculty members develop and evaluate technology-enhanced
curriculum projects and teaching methodologies, leading to exciting
new forms of academic discovery and discourse. We want all students
to critically assess how technology can enhance their ability
to research, assess, process, and present information and ideas.
At OES, technology is not seen as an independent subject, but
as a growing collection of tools and methods to be appraised,
selected, and experienced by students. In addition to developing
core technology skills for all students, OES offers opportunities
that enable students to explore advanced interests in technology.
