Program Information

Field Trips

Field trips are an integral part of our summer programs. These off-campus trips offer the opportunity to reinforce concepts and experiences explored on the campus, and they are fun! Admission fees and transportation are included in the cost of each camp. We maintain a low adult-to-student ratio on these trips. Parents are welcome to meet us at our destination.

Safety

The safety of your child is of the utmost concern to us. We maintain a low student-to-faculty ratio, which enables us to provide close supervision. In addition, most of our teachers have current CPR and First Aid training. We are a nut free campus, due to the severity of nut allergies for many children.

Registration & Payment

A $50 minimum per camp deposit (applied to the cost of the camp) is required at time of registration (or you can call us for special arrangements). Payments can be made by credit card (Master Card or Visa) or by e-check. Current OES families call to have all fees billed through your student account.

Programs will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis upon completing the online registration. Classes will state when full. In the event of excess registrations, a wait list will be formed, and you will be given the option to remain on the wait list. If you choose to remain on the wait list, you will be notified as space becomes available.

Fee adjustments cannot be made for withdrawal after May 20. There is a $50 cancellation fee per camp prior to May 20 and after that date no refunds can be made. Both deposits and class fees can be applied to the cost of other camps with at least a two week advance notice. Registration will be accepted up to the starting date of the class. If a class does not meet minimum enrollment requirements two weeks before the start of the camp, it will be cancelled.

Extended Care

This program is designed to provide a positive experience for children ages 4 through eighth grade offering both group and individual activities. Within our flexibly structured program, your child can experience recreational and enrichment activities, free time and special daily projects. During this more relaxed part of the day, children are under the watchful eye and nurturing guidance of our EC teachers, who will foster and support independence, cooperation, and problem solving in a safe and caring environment.

With the many types of sessions and camps offered at OES Summer Programs, Extended Care costs are dependent upon your needs. You can pay an hourly, daily, or weekly rate, based upon your needs (see rates online). For children enrolled in a half-day morning camp and an afternoon camp, there is no charge for EC during lunch recess and your child will automatically be enrolled and walked to class.

Junior Counselor Program

Join us for a fun, one- or two-week volunteer experience! This program offers young people entering grades 10-12 the opportunity to work directly with younger students. Each Junior Counselor will gain valuable experience under the supervision of our professional faculty. Upon successful completion, each Junior Counselor will receive a certificate and community service hours. Interested students should contact Joan Lowe at 503.768.3145 for an application.
