Hoop Camp

Join our varsity boys and girls basketball coaches for a fun week of Hoop Camp! Designed for both boys and girls, the camp will stress both individual skill development and team concepts. Focus on specific skills: passing, dribbling, defense, shooting, and rebounding. Camp includes instructional sessions and competition between players of similar ability. Sessions are divided by grade level.
Session A: August 6–10, 9:00–12:00

Lacrosse Camp

Splinter Wrenn
This camp will introduce beginning players to the foundation skills of lacrosse—throwing, catching, shooting, dodging, and picking up ground balls—through fun, non-contact activities and games. These skills are basic to both men’s and women’s lacrosse, and players will leave the camp prepared for team play in the older grades. Equipment needed for Session A. Session B is for beginning players and will only use soft balls (no helmets necessary).

Lacrosse: Developing Skills for Girls

Play and have fun while learning and developing the fundamental skills of girls’ lacrosse. Expand your skills and participate in age-appropriate games and scrimmages. Students will be divided into age-appropriate groups. Players will benefit from a low player-to-coach ratio and will learn from one of the most experienced girls’ lacrosse coaches in Oregon. Players will learn techniques in:

  • Shooting
  • Dodging and cutting
  • Stick skills: throwing and catching, cradling (with both right and left hands)
  • Defense and defensive footwork

The week will include drills, small-sided games, and full-field competition.

Lacrosse: Next Level for Boys

This camp will be run by OES Varsity lacrosse coach Dennis Sullivan. Dennis was an NCAA All American at Brown University and played for the Major League Lacrosse New Jersey Pride. Increase your understanding of the game and the speed at which you play. This will be accomplished through college-level drills and controlled scrimmages. If you want to take your game to the next level, this camp is for you! Intensive and competitive instruction provided.

Lacrosse: Transitions for Girls

You have learned the fundamentals, now transition those skills to higher levels. Apply what you know about lacrosse to more challenging situations with our instructional support. There are transitions from no checking to modified, from middle school to high school, from offense to defense, and from defense to offense. Students will be divided into age-appropriate groups to discover and develop intermediate and advanced skills of girls’ lacrosse. Master skills so you can participate in scrimmages and player-up situations (e.g. 5v4, 4v3, 2v1). Players will have a small player-to-coach ratio.The week will include drills, small-sided games, and full-field competition.
Players will learn techniques in:

  • Shooting
  • Dodging and cutting off the ball
  • Stick skills: throwing, catching, and cradling with both right and left hands, stick tricks
  • Defense and defensive footwork
  • Safe and smart checking
  • Scrimmaging in player-up and player-down situations

Lacrosse Camp: Skills & Thrills

Soccer Clinic for Girls and Boys

Do you love to play soccer? Come to this fast-paced camp and have fun experiencing this exhilarating sport. Develop your game so you can become a star! All participants will work on how to dribble, control, trap, and pass the ball. Games and scrimmages will allow you to practice the skills in real-life situations. Students will get to build more expertise in soccer while having a great time.

    Hourly for part-time usage is $7.50
  • Lunch is required if staying after noon. It includes supervision (12-1) and a nutritious lunch. Children will be escorted back and forth from camps.
