Love Their Grandparents

In chapel on Thursday, students read anecdotes, poems, and testimonials they had written about their grandparents. Some grandparents were able to attend with their grandchildren and were treated afterward to a brunch and student music performances in the Dining Hall. See more photos of the event.

  Walk, Bike, Bus, or Carpool
For Earth Day on Tuesday

The Transportation group of the Sustainability Committee urges students, staff, and faculty to observe Earth Day on Tuesday by walking or biking to school or taking a bus or carpool. In a survey the committee did last spring, only 4 percent of respondents said they usually carpool to school. Eight percent said they usually ride the OES bus, and 3 percent said they walk or ride a bike. To obtain a list of OES families in your Zip Code, email or call , 503-416-9372.

Rachel L. '19 learned to ride a bike during spring break and on Thursday rode to school for the first time. She plans to ride on Earth Day.
