Advent Service
Heralds Season
of Joy and Giving
Choirs from all divisions offered songs to stir the hearts of the OES community at the Advent Chapel on Wednesday. As always, the Fifth Grade boys' handbells were a highlight, and the service was followed by the Afterglow celebration with arts for sale and performances by more singing and instrumental groups. Eighth Grade Stomp Band Makes Music With Art
Eighth-graders in the Explore! class have been creating musical instruments from buckets, cans, cardboard tubes, and whatever else they can lay their hands on. The result is a dynamic percussion collaboration known as a "stomp band." The group performed in the Middle School gathering this morning, delighting classmates with their stirring rhythms. Watch a 90-second video of the performance. |
