OES Photos of the Week: Second Grade Field Research
Enjoy this special slideshow of OES second graders and their adventure this week to Smith and Bybee Natural Area! The students conducted field research by working on their observational sketching and note-taking skills. They also, as OES educator Janet Schilling shared, "pondered how they could be agents of change by brainstorming solutions to the needs they observed."
Our Upper School Debate team has had some stellar successes lately!
Last week young adult novelist Adam Silvera spoke to our Upper School community about everything from the craft of writing to explorations of identity.
Recently Ms. Duden's fifth-grade class clambered into canoes and set off to paddle around the wetlands . . . and then encountered something entirely unexpected.
What do you get when you add 10 Middle School Math Club members, the hours of a Saturday morning, and four different rounds of mathematical competitions? That would be the OES Math Meet!
