Gathering is a meeting in the Middle School Commons that is chaired by students. Announcements are made, songs are sung, problems are solved, celebrations are held, and world events are discussed.

Advisory is a time when Advisory Groups of 6-12 students and a faculty member meet to deal with special problems or to plan and implement chapel programs, social activities, and service learning activities.

DEAR means Drop Everything and Read. It is a time when students read for pleasure.
