Lunch is provided for all Lower School students in Pre- Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. The Food Service Department plans nutritious, well-balanced menus for the School. Meals are served in the Lower School Common Hall for Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and Primary, in the Dining Hall for First through Fifth Grades. Menus will be published weekly in the Wednesday Express. Children with dietetic needs that cannot be handled by the kitchen may bring their lunch from home. In such cases, it is necessary for parents to explain in writing the circumstances requiring the exception.
Snacks are provided for all Lower School students. These snacks include such items as fruit, vegetable sticks and crackers. Snacks are served to all students. Because of possible fatal allergic reactions to peanuts, no peanuts, peanut butter, or other peanut products will be served in the OES dining room or the Lower School.
