Homework

Homework is assigned to reinforce the study habits taught at school. It not only gives practice in recently learned skills but helps children learn to budget time and organize their activities. Homework is regularly assigned in Second through Fifth Grades, but even the younger children are, at times, given work to do at home. We want your children to become successful independent students, and learning to complete work on their own will help them.

Teachers will provide guidelines regarding the amount of time students are expected to do homework. Homework is not normally given on weekends; however, extra weekend work may be assigned to students who need to catch up on their work, and there may be long term assignments which require additional work.
