John F. Kennedy Inaugural Address - notice he speaks clearly, loudly enough so that everyone can understand, with enthusiasm, and has many pauses that help the listener understand him.
Steps to a good speech - read the bold headings
Present like Steve Jobs - this is for business, but the same points apply to your hero speech.
Great Student Speech - notice the enthusiasm, clarity, pauses.

Not So Good Hero Speech - hard to understand, does not build excitement.
A Good speech has these:
- Speak loudly enough so everyone in the back can hear.
- Pronounce each word clearly and correctly.
- Speak with expression to keep people interested. Do NOT speak in a monotone!
- Speak at a speed that is easy for the audience to understand. Make pauses in your speech.
- Sound excited about what you're saying.
- Look at your audience.
