Recently Dr. Leslie Smith, cousin to OES parent Randi Ray, spoke with Anna Rozzi's and Ryan Holland's eighth grade science classes about her research on the impacts of climate change on coastal ecosystems, as well as what it's like to be a research scientist and oceanographer.

We may not have had much school this week due to the snow, but our intrepid Facilities staff has still been hard at work keeping the campus safe. Enjoy these photos from Director of Facilities Jon von Behren!

Great news from the slopes, OES fans! Samantha W-O. '19, member of the OES Ski Team, just competed in her first race series of the season at Mt. Spokane. Here's how she did, courtesy of her father Eric Otterholt:


"She rallied through a really tough course and took first place in U16's, guaranteeing her a slot at Western Regional Championship this coming March in Big Sky Montana. She is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and passion with her OES team members in the coming weeks."
