The OES Music Department received a generous grant to fund the development of a full Concert Band and Strings program, Pre-K–12th grade. Several exciting instruments have been added to our existing collection of OES-owned instruments available for rental. New instruments include timpani, marimba, woodwinds (bassoon, piccolo), brass (tubas, French horn, baritone, euphonium), harp, and stringed instruments.
Students are encouraged to participate in the OES Instrument Rental program. Students who are interested in renting instruments will be required to fill out the Music Equipment Liability Agreement and Musical Instrument Responsibilities forms.
A Rental Fee (or Maintenance User Fee, if applicable) and a refundable Security Deposit are required. Students who already own their own instruments and who are encouraged by the director to play a new instrument in order to balance the ensemble instrumentation may be exempt from the rental fees but will be charged a Maintenance User Fee and Security Deposit.
All students using school-owned instruments that remain in the school classroom (piano, marimba, guitars, percussion instruments) need to fill out the Music Equipment Liability Agreement and Musical Instrument Responsibilities forms. A Maintenance User Fee of $50 per year is charged to the student’s account and is nonrefundable. This fee is used to cover repairs and the normal upkeep to the school property.
