The application process at OES varies depending upon grade level. Please choose from the categories below to find the information you need.

Pre-Kindergarten through Grade One

• Submit application form and the $75 application fee
• Return parent questionnaire
• Recommendation from current teacher (if applicable)
• Last two years of school records (if applicable)
• Lower School tour
• Student assessment
• Parent meeting during student assessment

Grades Two through Five

• Submit application form and the $75 application fee
• Return parent questionnaire
• Recommendation from current teacher
• Last two years of school records
• Parent interview and tour
• Student testing
• Student visit

Grades Six through Eight

• Submit application form and the $75 application fee
• Return parent questionnaire
• Return student questionnaire
• English teacher recommendation
• Math teacher recommendation
• Transcripts from the last two years
• Standardized testing (SSAT) and essay
• Parent Interview
• Student visit

Grades Nine through Twelve Day and Boarding

• Submit application form and the $75 application fee
  ($100 international application fee)
• Return parent questionnaire
• Return student questionnaire
• English teacher recommendation
• Math teacher recommendation
• Transcripts from the last two years
• Student visit
• Parent interview
• Standardized testing (SSAT) and essay
• TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) for international students who are not native English speakers (OES code number is 9615)
• Special arrangements can be made for international applicants who are not able to travel to the United States for a visit.
