Summer Wonder PreK is designed for children 4 to 5 years of age (must be 4 by September 1). Children will enjoy the hands-on learning centers, active participation, and developmentally appropriate, integrated theme-based curriculum. Children may take sessions individually or consecutively, with curriculum changing according to each theme. Each session runs for two weeks from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Parents provide a snack for their child.

SESSION I: June 23–July 3 (NO CLASS JULY 4)
Mountain Marvels $270

Shhhh! There are bears up ahead. Notice the animal tracks on the trail? What animal could have made them? Make your favorite animal as we learn about who and what lives in the mountains. Notice the trees? Let’s identify them by their leaves and needles, while building a secret forest hideout. Since we are in the woods, let’s build a campfire, roast hot dogs and marshmallows and sing new camp songs. Make your own trail mix to keep your tummy from growling like a bear. Play dress up with boots, plaid shirts, and bandanas, and make your own walking stick.

SESSION II: July 7–July 18
Circus Circus $295

Roooaaarrr! Step right up, the circus has come to OES and you do not want to miss out on all the fun! Let’s put on our clown costumes and play some silly games. Try playing different roles with our costumes—become the ringmaster, tight rope walker, or juggler. Play dress up with tiaras, feathery boas, and the elegant masks you will make in class. Learn about circus animals from elephants to lions. We want to keep you safe, so we will create cages to keep your new animals in. You will work up an appetite, so let’s make some clown salad, silly faces, and clown cupcakes to satisfy your hunger.

SESSION III: July 21–August 1
Knights and Castles $295

By royal proclamation, all knights and princesses are requested to appear at the royal court on July 21. Create your own amazing costume from fairy tales, so you are dressed for the occasion. Use dazzling materials to make magical projects worthy of your fantasies. Mix up your own magical potions and food fit for royalty. Exercise your imagination and see your dreams fulfilled with a touch from a magic wand that you create! Watch out for the elves and fairies that are sure to make mischief on this adventure!

SESSION IV: AUGUST 4–15
Paradise Island $295

The sun is always shining, so grab your suitcase and let’s head to Paradise Island. Make your own beach bag to carry all the fun things you will make and find. Create a sun visor and leis to blend in with the locals. Dig up the sand to find seashells and sand dollars. Get ready for more surprises—like hidden treasure buried in the sand! The shells and sand make terrific works of art. Let’s keep cool by eating pineapple and tropical fruits, and by making delicious fruit smoothies. Ahoy matey, let’s check out the ocean and learn more about the fish, octopi, whales, and other sea life. Adventure and excitement are guaranteed during this once in a lifetime trip to Paradise Island.
