Spend a fun, intensive musical week singing! Students will learn how to use their voice well and develop musical skills, learn new challenging music, work on choral techniques, and sing great sacred and secular musical literature. Singers will also learn sight reading techniques and have individual vocal coaching. Teaching strategies will involve games and some hands-on learning. Choristers will sing an Evensong service on Thursday in the OES Chapel, as well as performing in the closing concert on Friday at 11:15 a.m. Laugh, sing, and enjoy working as a team as you learn challenging and inspiring music. Boys must have unchanged voices.

Beginning Guitar & Music of the Beatles
Allen Mathews
This class will focus on music of the Beatles! Classical guitar is a style in which one develops and explores the solo potential of the guitar, combining melody, bass, and chords, as well as drawing upon music literature from previous centuries to the present. This class will introduce the student to fundamental classical techniques, notation, solo and ensemble performance and interpretation. This class is geared for complete beginners and players who learned to play with a pick and want to learn to play with their fingers in the classical style. Students need to bring their own guitar (which should be nylon-string, as opposed to steel-string guitar).
