Field Trips
Field trips are an integral part of our summer programs. These off-campus trips offer the opportunity to reinforce concepts and experiences explored on the campus, and they are fun! Admission fees and transportation are included in the cost of each camp. We maintain a 1:6 adult-to-student ratio on these trips. Parents are welcome to meet us at our destination.

Parent Participation
Parents are encouraged to visit their children at any time (please check in if visiting). Communication with our summer staff strengthens our ability to serve your child’s needs. Parents are encouraged to share their concerns with the staff at pick-up time or by phone. We also welcome parents to join us at our destinations on field trips.

Safety
The safety of your child is of the utmost concern to us. We maintain a low student-to faculty ratio, which enables us to provide close supervision. In addition, most of our teachers have current CPR and First Aid training.

Registration & Payment
Programs will be filled on a first-come, first served basis upon completing the online registration. In the event of excess registrations, a wait list will be formed, and you will be given the option to remain on the wait list. If you choose to remain on the wait list, you will be notified as space becomes available. Registration will be accepted up to the starting date of the class. If a class does not meet minimum enrollment requirements by June 23, it will be cancelled. Limited scholarships are available, based on financial need. Please contact us for information on scholarships.

There is a registration fee of $25 on classes that are priced between $100-$299 and a fee of $50 on classes priced $300-$800. These fees are included in the price of the camp, but will be assessed if you need to drop the class after registering. Fee adjustments cannot be made for withdrawal after May 9: you will be responsible for the full camp fee.

Extended Care
This program is designed to provide a positive experience for children ages 3.5 through eighth grade offering both group and individual activities. Within our flexibly structured program, your child can experience recreational and enrichment activities, free time and special daily projects. During this more relaxed part of the day, children are under the watchful eye and nurturing guidance of our EC teachers, who will foster and support independence, cooperation, and problem solving in a safe and caring environment. Activities provided are age appropriate for your child. It is OES’s policy that all children (through 8th grade) must be under adult supervision at all times while on campus. With the many types of sessions and camps offered at OES Summer Programs, Extended Care costs are dependent upon your needs. A low child-faculty ratio assures personal attention for every child. If you find that you are running late, we will check your child into the Extended Care Program. If you only need Extended Care for a very limited amount of time, please call our office at 503-416-9249 for the program rates. We appreciate you filling out the EC needs form, available online (or we can send you the form) and returning it to our office by May 15. Rates are $7 hourly if using limited amounts, but see the full range of rates by clicking on the register for EC form or in the PDF. There is no charge for EC when registering for a morning and afternoon mini camp for the supervised lunch program.
