Have you ever wondered how something went from an idea to a reality? Well, it’s pretty safe to say that an engineer had something to do with it. In this class the focus will be on making technology, math, and science FUN while providing kids with confidence in their abilities. Daily activities will revolve around technologies that are relevant to these girls. Themes will include Theme Park Engineering, Sports Engineering, Engineering the City, Engineering in Fashion and Cosmetics, and Toy and Game Engineering. Kids will bring home one-of-a-kind projects every day!

Camp BizKID$ is designed to show kid-preneurs how to make, manage, and save money, while inspiring them to pursue their dreams. Throughout the week, kid-preneurs will participate in business role-playing, financial transactions, and planning activities designed to help them understand the role of money in our society. The successful entrepreneurs of tomorrow start learning today!

A collection of math activities will stimulate even reluctant mathematicians as well as challenge talented mathletes. Games and puzzles students might play include The Game of 24, Soap Bubble Math, and Hexaflexagons. Students will definitely stretch their mathematical thinking and will get a painless review of skills and processes. Get your brain exercised as you solve hands-on problems and estimation.

Chess is a beautiful game loved by kids of all ages. Chess has been shown to help improve grades and develop general problem-solving and cognitive skills in young minds. To improve at chess, certain skills are required—this is where Chess Vision can help with a comprehensive program featuring topflight professional chess instruction and competition balanced with fun. There is time for outdoor breaks in a safe and fun environment. At the start of camp all attendees will be assigned to groups based on level, experience and age. A staff member will monitor the progress of each student and give feedback to the student and parent. Chess Vision provides all materials including workbooks, T-shirts, awards, prizes and great memories. At the end of camp each student will also be given a general assessment of strengths and weaknesses and suggestions for continued improvement.

Has your child ever wanted to create his or her own website? Students will use fun, easy-to-use software to make their own web pages. In the process, they can learn about good design choices and share their work with each other. Individual projects will go home on CDs at the end of the course.

Join us in the kitchen as we explore the culinary possibilities of fondue. From classic cheese fondue to more sophisticated meat and dessert fondues, we’ll be dipping our way through a week of good food! Students will learn about the history of fondue, as well as basic kitchen safety and cooking skills. Parents are welcome to join us on Friday afternoon for a three-course fondue feast prepared by the children.

Make your own comic strip on our fun computer program. Take photos around campus or bring your photos from home. Write dialog into the bubbles and you have the makings of a famous comic strip to impress your friends and family.

Ummm, smell fresh baked bread wafting from the oven. Bake your favorite desserts and pastries including pie, cinnamon rolls, and cupcakes, along with healthier treats. While your edible creations may not last long, you will also make your own apron and get a book to store all your favorite new recipes. By the end of the week you will be ready to open your own patisserie!
