OES Junior Summer Discovery and Summer Discovery Programs explore specific themes over two-week sessions through a kaleidoscope of age appropriate activities. A combination of games, songs, stories, skits, field trips, and the tradition of camp magic offers your child opportunities for a summer of safe, fun-filled learning and discovery. In art, the children will focus on creating theme-based art projects. Sports activities focus on cooperative play and fitness. The science and nature teacher conducts many handson experiments and creates puzzles for the children to solve. Summer Discovery campers work with a drama teacher to develop self-awareness and self-confidence, while Junior Summer Discovery campers experience the joys of singing and dancing with their movement and music teacher. Junior Summer Discovery and Summer Discovery run for four two-week sessions from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm daily. Students may enroll in one or more session. Each session culminates in a performance, presentations by faculty, and a slide show. Lunch can be provided by parents or purchased for $3.50 each day. Parents are expected to provide two snacks Registration is on a first come, first served basis.
