The Friends of the OES Libraries (FOESL) is a school-wide volunteer committee that supports the OES libraries and reading programs. FOESL sponsors a variety of reading-related events throughout the school year to promote a lifetime love of reading among all OES students. FOESL-sponsored events are included on the What's Happening page.

FOESL-sponsored and supported reading events include:

• Summer reading challenges and celebrations
  
  
• Fall and spring book fairs
  
  
• Visits and presentations by authors, writers and illustrators
  
  
• The Great OES Book Swap (GOBS)
  
  
• Young Readers’ Choice Award (YRCA) reading challenge and celebration in the Lower School
  
  
• Sixth-Grade Readers Challenge and celebration in the Middle School

FOESL meets once a month during the school year. Meetings are typically held in the Guild Room and begin at 8:05 a.m. The meetings are posted on the all school online calendar.
