Be sure to let the Lower School Office know of any changes in regular after school plans for your child (including birthday parties, play dates with friends, scouting plans, etc.) We must know when bus or carpool changes are made or when someone different is picking up your child. Please do not ask your child to convey the message verbally.
Under no circumstances will the Lower School staff let your child leave without written or verbal permission from you.
Please call the Lower School message line (503-768- 3177) to report any changes in your child’s after school plan. After 12:30 p.m., call the Lower School Office at 503-768-3143. Without direct instructions from you, we will send children home by the usual means or retain them in the Lower School Office until we can contact you.
Your children will feel better if they know your plans. Students who are not picked up by 3:00 p.m. will be taken to the Lower School Office to await their rides. If you will be later than 3:00 p.m., please call the Lower School Office so your child won’t worry. After 3:15 p.m., children left waiting will be checked into Extended Care. If you are detained and pick up your child after 3:15 p.m., there is a fee of $7.00/hour for Extended Care. We appreciate everyone being on time.
For safety reasons, students may not roam the campus unsupervised. If they must wait for a special lesson or activity, they should be registered in the Extended Care Program or be accompanied by a parent.
